This is a cute little casual sushi place in Bixby Knolls. The staff is super welcoming as you walk in and are very attentive throughout your stay. A friend and I shared the 15 pc assorted sashimi board, edamame and a side salad that was big enough for two. We each also had a beer and I had a negitoro hand roll. All was under $90, which I think is pretty reasonable. Everything was super fresh and the beer was nice and cold. Pros: *You get miso soup and a jug of water for the table as soon as you are seated. *Convenient parking *Outside seating w heaters available Cons: *We felt like we were being rushed to order when we arrived. We were approached every 2 minutes to see if we were ready, when we were not. They ended up getting the point, but it was a bit frustrating at first. *Restrooms are outside of the restaurant. Overall, although, it did not become my new favorite sushi place in Long Beach, I would love to go back and try more of the sushi and rolls.

We went here for lunch on Vday last minute. Very nice space. Good service. sushi was really good. We had the Yellowtail cilantro roll, spicy rainbow roll, Bluefin and Unagi Nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. All the sushi was great. Nice a fresh and a generous fish portions. The Yellowtail cilantro roll and spicy rainbow roll were very spicy. We loved it, but be aware if you dont have tolerance for heat. They included Miso soup for both of us. Prices are reasonable for what you get.

Love this place! The atmosphere is nice. The service is great. The staff is friendly. There's a small parking lot, so no hunting for street parking. Last but not least, the food is so delicious. We've gone back for more, and look forward for our next date night out there.

Must know: Free parking and street parking available. Deliciously crisp katsu! Not too crowded during lunch time, so it makes a perfect spot to stop by for a bite! Here are our 5 Star FAPS: Food (F): We loved the chicken and tonkatsu plates! It comes with a dressed sales, rice, and two pieces of sliced, thin, and appetizing katsu. We also got the tempura. It had a crisp and light batter. It was also a large size which made it perfect for sharing! Ambience (A): Clean and comfortable. They have a projector also playing on the wall. Parking (P): Free lot and street parking! Service (S): Kind and attentive! They check in on you and refill your waters. Great service! A great place to grab bite!

Since my first visit a year ago, it seems that Tebu-ru has elevated their menu. While the food was always good, the menu was small and didn't seem to be fully realized yet. Now the menu seems to have expanded and there are more choice offerings. In addition, the presentation is much nicer and portions bigger for a few items. This time around I ordered the Tokyo Hambagu and it was so good - that demi glace sauce though...yum. It's served with a small side of rice and a small salad. The hamachi carpaccio (not pictured) was also very good. I love the fresh red onion slivers with the sauce. Request jalapeños on top. The service there is always great. Our sever was so sweet and gracious. The chefs were also very friendly and fun. They definitely make the environment warm and welcoming

We were greeted and got seated right away on a weekday night. I think their single table top for 2 ppl is quite small, so my boyfriend and I opted for the booth seating in the corner of the restaurant. They start you off with a warm bowl of miso soup and some lemon and herb infused water jugs. We loved this because we hate waiting for our water to be refilled. Already off on the right foot! We ordered 3 rolls: * Golden Tiger A roll of shrimp, imitation crab mix, avo, cream cheese, and spicy crab all battered in tempura and deep fried. Oh my god 10/10 * Philadelphia Roll At first, I was confused about why a humble philly roll would have such a hefty price tag... but then I saw that they put salmon inside AND outside of the roll. It was so beautiful! 10/10. Honestly, most anything with cream cheese is a 10/10 in my book :) * Yellowtail Cilantro This was so clean tasting and cirtrusy! It was a welcomed palate cleanser from all the heavier ingredients in the first 2 rolls. The little bite of Serrano pepper with sriracha was wonderful. 7/10 Overall, we were pleased with our visit to Te-buru. Would definitely visit again to try more items on their menu.

Always looking for a good sushi spot, we decided to try Te-Bura. It's located in Bixby Knolls, right next to Philz Coffee. They opened at noon on a Sunday and it appeared that we were the first to arrive. The host guided us to a small two top table, and when we asked for the booth in the corner, she pointed to another small two top. My face said it all, and she gave in and sat us in the booth. She brought a small pitcher of lemon flavored water and complimentary miso soup, which was appreciated. We ordered the baked scallop roll, soft shell crab roll, and the bixby no rice roll. I enjoyed the no rice roll with freshly prepared blue crab, salmon, and tuna, wrapped in soy paper. The baked scallop roll was my husband's favorite, and he found it to be super flavorful. I didn't care for the crispy rice edges and thought it should have had a more baked texture on top of the roll. Finally, the soft shell crab roll might have been better as an appetizer. Overall, it was a delicious lunch. We'll be back to try more.

We love this spot! The food is always fresh, the staff is friendly and helpful, parking is available and the place is always clean. What more do you want? The Te-Buru bowls are really good. The short rib is especially delish.
